Please join the IES Detroit Section for a panel discussion on lighting controls and the lighting design process. Lighting controls are increasingly mandated for code compliance, but the flexibility and functionality they give to a space can also be desired by the end user. Whether lighting controls are implemented out of a necessity or client need, all too often they are little more than an afterthought during the design process. Our moderated panel will discuss the state of lighting controls, and how to better consider lighting controls during the design process.

Our distinguished panel features the following professionals:

  • Jeff Bodway is an electrical engineer at Osborn Engineering
  • Chris McRae is a controls manager at Gasser Bush Associates
  • Nick Furgason is an electrical engineer at IDS
  • Steve Wellein is a project manager at Ferndale Electric
