Of Technology and Tariffs @ Carrier & Gable Training Center

Michigan Lighting Manufacturer Lumecon will host the IES Detroit section to discuss how the current economic climate has impacted the lighting manufacturing process. The presentation will cover the history of the current US tariff program on goods imported from China, the types of goods that are affected, and the economic impacts on both countries and beyond. Special focus will be given to how the tariffs have impacted the lighting manufacturing industry, and what the implications might be for the future.

About the Presenters:

Don Lincoln is a Senior Vice President at Lumecon since 2008. He oversees product development, engineering, and manufacturing. Prior to working on Lumecon he was Vice President of Operations and Relume Technologies. From 1995 to 2007 he served as a laboratory manager for GM, specializing in metallurgy, materials and castings with the powertrain division. He holds a BS in Industrial Management from Central Michigan University, a MS in Manufacturing Operations from Kettering University, and an MBA from the Kelly School of Business at Indiana University.

Michael Woznicki, LC, has been with Lumecon since 2009 and currently serves as Project Engineer. He holds a BFA from Eastern Michigan University, and an MLA in Landscape Architecture from the University of Michigan.

5:30-6:30pm – Pizza buffet with two complimentary drink tickets
6:30-7:30pm – Presentation

$35 for Non-Members

The meeting will take place at the Carrier & Gable training center, Lumecon’s parent company. Parking is available on-site, and the entrance that we’ll be using is on the east side of the building, opposite of the entry drive into the parking lot.
